Ed Cernic, Jr. has served as Cambria County’s Controller since January 2004 (He’s serving his 5th term in office.). He is responsible for supervising the fiscal affairs and accounting for the County. He also serves as the Secretary of the County Retirement Board and is a member of the Salary Board.

Prior to being elected, Ed has served as a member and President of the Greater Johnstown School Board and the former Supervisor of West Taylor Township for 18 years. Ed has been a local businessman and lifelong resident of Cambria County.
